What is Branding Yourself?

0

Major corporations have done an excellent job of branding their product so the public knows exactly who they are. Successful network marketers are doing the same by branding themselves as opposed to branding a specific business opportunity.

So what does branding yourself mean?

If you have been around multilevel marketing in the past then you may be familiar with names such as Mark Yarnell, Jan Rhue, Doug Firestone, and John Milton Fogg. These are all people who have benefited from a network marketing (NM) business yet have branded themselves as leaders outside of a specific opportunity.

Today more people are coming into NM than at any time in history. Most of these people have no background in the business so they really only know what somebody like you can teach them.

They also do not necessarily care about the type of opportunities they join. They really are interested in making money and network marketing as a vehicle to do that.

This is why branding yourself is so important if you want to be successful in NM today. You spend time letting people know that you are an expert at helping people make money on the Internet and the opportunity you offer almost becomes secondary. Branding yourself is easy to do through the use of the Internet. You do this by getting your name out in the public where you can be found.

For example, article marketing is a great way to brand yourself as an expert on NM. You write and submit articles around specific tips on building a network marketing business. These tips help people see you as the go to expert for useful MLM information. You are branding yourself as a person they should follow if they want NM information they can count on.

You benefit from this by including a resource box that contains a link to your website or blog. When people get there they do not find a sales page right away. Rather what they find is more quality information presented by you in a way that is non threatening to them. What you are really doing is pre-selling people on you and not on your business opportunity.

As they become more comfortable with you it is only natural they will be interested in how you are making money in NM. This pre-selling is all part of branding yourself as an expert and will make building your business that much easier for you to do.
