A few days ago, a netizen who goes by @username_notexist posted a video on his TikTok channel of him secretly recording a conversation he had with another man at, what appears to be, the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). In the video, the man can be heard asking the youngster if he was interested in a blowjob.
“I was harassed while I was alone at the library,” he captioned the post. The video went viral with netizens being shocked by the unknown man’s bold move of approaching someone for oral sex at an Islamic institute. However, after carefully listening to the audio, we discovered that this particular incident did not actually happen in the video. The audio was taken from a now-deleted TikTok video of the actual incident.
Earlier this year, a TikToker posted a video of his experience of being approached by a strange ‘uncle’ who offered him a blowjob at the Serendah Recreational Waterfall in Selangor. Below is a comparison of the two videos where you would be able to distinguish which one the original audio belonged to since the incident took place outdoors.

A few netizens on Twitter seem to remember the viral incident as they have also pointed out that the audio in the clip posted by @username_notexist is not the real one. As for why the TikToker decided to use the audio for his video, perhaps it was to gain views, or as “a joke”, or as pranksters like to call it – a “social experiment” (cue eye roll).
Regardless of his intention, using stolen audio to stage an incident makes him a liar, no?
