Marvel Entertainment posted the first teaser trailer for the upcoming “Thunderbolts” movie which is slated for a May 2025 release. The story centres around a group of antiheroes working together on a mission for the American government. Apart from Florence Pugh who plays Yelena Belova, also starring in the movie are Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), and David Harbour (Red Guardian).

In the teaser trailer, one specific scene showed Florence’s character Yelena calmly witnessing an explosion of a building in a city. Based on the buildings and signage shown, many believe it took place at Leboh Ampang near the Masjid Jamek LRT station. The blown-up structure was apparently the HSBC Tower. As expected, Malaysian netizens rejoiced at watching that particular scene. Many took to social media to point out the location where it was filmed and expressed their excitement about the movie.

Previously, another scene was speculated to have taken place in KL. In a leaked preview, the team of misfits are seen in a meeting with a government representative. Malaysians believed that said meeting took place inside the Merdeka 118 tower and could lead to the sky-diving stunt Florence specified in her previous interview.
