Actions speak louder than words and local internet celebrity Candy Foong Sin Yee has taken that saying to heart when it comes to her husband. After all, sometimes, showing someone that you love them is better than just saying “I love you”.
Candy Foong has often posted about her husband, Phillip Soong’s various acts of love for her on her socials. As such, for his birthday, she wanted to do the same for him. In addition to throwing a surprise party, she also gifted him RM300,000 in the form of a cake!
Reportedly, Candy Foong had rented a presidential suite in a hotel for the party, decorating it in the theme of “Reaching for the Sky”. Candy had also prepared a ‘money cake’ worth RM300,000 as a gift for her hubby along with a veritable feast of alcohol and canapés. The ‘money cake’ itself was a sight to behold, made of rolled up RM100 bills and stacked in multiple tiers, towering over them at 2.21m.
“You make me the heroine every time,” she later told Phillip in her Instagram captions. “This time, let me write a script for you, with (you) as the male protagonist. Thank you for loving me, and I will spend my whole life with you. May you who are kind-hearted have all the good things in the world.”
Netizens were equally envious and amazed by Candy’s extravagant gift and party. But, as it turns out, the RM300,000 cake wasn’t all she dropped for her husband. When asked, Candy later admitted the entire party had cost almost RM30,000, including renting the suite, and the food and drinks. Many also praised Candy for being so generous and indulging her husband.
Well, there is no denying the care and attention Candy Foong put into Phillip Soong’s party, even sparing no expenses to ensure the perfect extravagant party for her hubby. From the looks of things, Phillip was surprised but delighted by the treat.
Their party has certainly left many envious still, it’s a sweet testament to Candy’s love for Phillip. We wish the couple well and hope they will continue to live happy and healthy lives together.
