Although I am traveling southeast Asia for over one year now, I’ve never been to a floating market before. You can find them all over southeast Asia actually. A floating market is normally a market where all the sellers sell their stuff from a boat. Sometime you even have to be on a boat to reach them. So, I am visiting this local traditional market in a kampung here on the east coast of Malaysia in the Kelantan state, close to Kota Bharu. Let’s check out this Malaysian floating market.
When you travel southeast Asia, chances are high that you are going to visit quite a few markets. Night markets for example are really popular all-over southeast Asia. There are also morning markets or, like in this case, floating market. Make sure to check out all kind of markets when you travel southeast Asia, as they are always a great place to meet locals and to experience local food and traditions.
