Why pick just one thing when you can have it all in bite-sized pieces!
Tiki Taka is a restro-bar that goes by the “tiny bites” concept, where everything is prepared in small sizes, allowing you to taste a range of meals in only one seating. Tiki Taka promises a global gastronomic excursion with smaller quantities, and huge flavours. So prepare to awaken your taste buds and appreciate a variety of unique and delicious flavours!
With its lovely oak interior and cool al fresco patio, Tiki Taka’s overall look encourages laid-back sentiments. This is definitely a location where old friends can catch up without having to bother about dressing up, while also downing a stiff drink and chatting with the kind staff.

Opened in 2016 and taken over by new management last year, Tiki Taka is the perfect spot to unwind in. And with the launch of its new menu in conjunction with its anniversary, you have all the more reason to hang out at Tiki Taka.
That’s what we did recently, and here’s what we sampled for ourselves:
Mushroom & Tuna on toast
For starters, we were served with mushroom and tuna on toast. It was a tad on the salty side, but still yummy. The mushroom toast on the other hand, was all good and savoury. The toast wasn’t that crispy and a little hard, but its flavour more than made up for that.
Pita Bread with Mutton & Chicken Varuval
Next up, we had mutton and chicken varuval. Varuval is the dry version of a chicken or mutton curry, with little to no gravy. These bite-sized pieces of chicken and mutton are coated in a deep masala flavour and are served with pita bread. These were two of our favourites for the night. They were spicy, but the taste was amazing.
Tacos
Tiki Taka offers impressive tacos that come not just in vibrant colours, but with amazing fillings as well. We tried out two different tacos which were Pink Tacos and Blackjack Tacos. The Pink Taco is literally bright pink, as its shell is made out of beetroot. The filling consists of pulled chicken, mango lychee salsa, green aioli and coriander. Honestly, when thinking of tacos, we automatically think crispy and crunchy shells. But this was basically a pink tortilla. The filling was great, but we hope they’ll offer hard-shell tacos in the future.
Next up was the Blackjack taco. This black taco is perfect for vegetarians or those who can’t take meat. This charcoal tortilla is filled with crispy oyster mushrooms, beetroot aioli, carolina slaw, aji verde and coriander. Hats of to the the crispy oyster mushroom. It’s so amazingly crispy, and the batter kinda tasted like “murukku”.
Pizza
We had heard that Tiki Taka serves extraordinary pizza, so we tried two types: the Ikan bilis sambal pizza and Prawn pizza. The Ikan bilis sambal pizza had a fishy taste (obviously!) and was really spicy. We were impress by how they brought local and Italian cuisines together so beautifully. As for the prawn pizza, the spiciness level was mild. There were generous chunks of prawn on the pizza, and it tasted fantastic.
Dessert
Last, but not least, was dessert. To end the wonderful night, Tiki Taka served huge slices of carrot cake. What we loved most about it was the cream cheese frosting, which was super rich and generous. There was frosting on the cake as well as in between the layers. Although we couldn’t taste much of the carrot, we noted hints of cinnamon, which was really good.
Beverages
Tiki Taka offers a fine selection of whisky, cognac, gin, tequila, vodka, beer and rum, as well as red wine for booze lovers. But if you don’t do alcohol, don’t worry, because Tiki Taka has a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks, like virgin mojito, cranberry cooler, watermelon lychee sparkler and beetroot orange, which can be ordered along with smoothies such as the intriguing Avocado Gula Melaka.
Tiki Taka also serves a wide array of coffees, with hot and cold options. We were craving something sweet, so we decided to try their Iced chocolate. It was legit good. It was creamy, bitter-sweet, milky and super rich. We absolutely loved it – and we had a second serving!
Overall, we had a great time at Tiki Taka. Apart from what we had, there are many other items on their menu, which we hope to try out soon. The ambience is really nice and they offered both indoor and outdoor seating. Because it was a full house on the day we were there, the service was a tad slow, but the staff were super friendly and helpful.
So feel free to check out Tiki Taka and the amazing, mixed cuisine they have to offer.
