The first locally assembled unit of Audi’s flagship SUV, the Q7, has officially entered the production phase. It is being manufactured at the Volkswagen Group Malaysia (VGM) assembly plant in Pekan, Pahang — the only Audi production facility in the Southeast Asia region.
The Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) will be priced between RM469,000 and RM489,000. With the launch expected as soon as next month, the model is now open for booking.
The Audi Q7 is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine that produces 340 PS and 500 Nm of torque. The MHEV system utilises a 48V electrical setup that supports combustion, enhances performance, and reduces emissions.
With this configuration, the Audi Q7 achieves the century sprint in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. An 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox delivers power, while Audi’s renowned quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system distributes torque to all four wheels.
On the exterior, the Audi Q7 features S line styling, including distinctive front and rear bumpers, and side skirting that gives the SUV a sporty appearance. Opting for the Black Styling Package adds anthracite grey Audi rings at the front and rear, a blacked-out Singleframe grille, and dark Q7 model badging.
In addition, the Q7 boasts a roof edge spoiler and 22-inch Audi Sport 5-V-spoke star wheels, enhancing its dynamic look. Also featured are new HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi Laser Light, and Digital OLED rear lamps.
Inside, the Q7 continues the S line theme with Valcona leather Sports Seat Plus, embossed with the S badge, and a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel with paddle shifters. The Ambient Lighting Package offers a choice of 30 colours, further elevating the interior ambience.
The Q7 offers a spacious cabin with generous legroom across all three rows. It is equipped with power latching doors that gently pull themselves shut if not properly closed. Additional standard features include 4-zone deluxe climate control, a wireless charging pad, and a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System.
In terms of safety, the Q7 is equipped with cutting-edge driver assistance technologies to keep you alert and help avoid potential hazards. Key features include Audi Pre Sense (front and rear), Side Assist with Exit Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and a Head-Up Display.
