The luxury hotel has officially received Halal certification for several of its kitchens – a significant achievement which reaffirms the hotel’s commitment to offering high-quality, halal-certified dining experiences to its valued guests, while upholding food safety, quality standards, and cultural sensitivity.

The Halal certification, granted by the Halal Certification Panel of Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM), confirms that the hotel adheres to Islamic Law and Malaysian Halal Standards. This assures guests of safe, authentic, and halal meals across its diverse dining options, including the kitchens of the hotel’s Banquet Operations and the iconic Lemon Garden buffet restaurant.

The certification process involved a thorough review of the hotel’s food sourcing, preparation, and handling practices, ensuring compliance with halal dietary laws. “We are honoured to receive Halal certification from JAKIM,” said Daniel Kaeflein, General Manager of Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.
