New infections at 679 as 6 more deaths reported

Another 679 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,025,581.

There were 923 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,976,060.

There are now 12,670 active cases, of which 11,991 or 94.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 645 (5.1%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 34 are in ICU with 21 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another six deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,851.
