Lynk & Co 900 goes on sale in China, from RM172,231; tri-motor PHEV with 884 PS, over 200 km of EV range

Having first made its debut in January this year, the Lynk & Co 900 SUV has gone on sale in China where it is priced from 289,900 yuan (RM172,231). The brand’s flagship SUV is its largest model to date, and according to Lynk & Co, some 40,000 orders have been received for the 900 since December last year.

Measuring 5,240 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, 1,810 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm, the Lynk & Co 900 seats up to six persons in three rows of two, as seen in the display vehicle in these images at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show.

In front, the cabin of the 900 boasts of a 30-inch wide-format touchscreen with 6K resolution, serving as both the main infotainment unit and as a screen for the front passenger. The driver gets a 12.66-inch instrumentation display, while elsewhere in the front row of the cabin are dual wireless device charging pads.

Passengers in the second row get an equally generous 30-inch, 6K touchscreen display that deploys from the ceiling, while a control panel is located on the rear of the front centre console, which also houses a slide-out fridge.

Cabin space is the key draw in the 900, where there are 42 storage compartments available to passengers. Lynk & Co claims class-leading headroom and legroom, and the second row seats get up to 550 mm in range of movement, while the seat backs of the third row get 125 mm in range of adjustment. Vertical room is a claimed 1,293 mm.

In terms of luggage capacity, the Lynk & Co 900 offers 300 litres with all three rows of seats upright, and another 20 litres is available beneath the boot floor. Its tailgate is of a split design, granting access to a space measuring 590 mm deep, 1,130 mm wide and 876 mm tall, and up top, its roof rack will support of to 100 kg.

Built on the SPA Evo platform, the Lynk & Co 900 gets a PHEV powertrain with a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that outputs a total of 650 kW (884 PS), enabling the 0-100 km/h sprint to be done in 4.3 seconds, the 80-120 km/h measure to be elapsed in 3.1 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 230 km/h, according to the Lynk & Co presentation at the Shanghai Auto Show.

This is comprised of a front electric motor that outputs 123 kW (167 PS) while the dual rear-axle motors produce a combined 340 kW (462 PS). The presentation by Lynk & Co also revealed the plug-in hybrid 900 to be capable of over 200 km of EV range on the WLTP testing standard; according to Car News China, the 900 is capable of a combined range of up to 1,443 km on the Chinese domestic CLTC testing cycle.

Among the chassis highlights are rear axle steering that can reach steering angles of up to 20 degrees, as well as dual-chamber air suspension. Driving assistance systems in the Lynk & Co 900 are powered by the NVidia AGX Thor platform that is capable of 700 TOPS in processing power, and features the G-Pilot H7 package that supports “door-to-door” navigation capability, according to Lynk & Co.
