Join us as we visit Kuala Lumpur exploring the best 25 things to do in the city in this Kuala Lumpur travel guide. As the capital and largest city in Malaysia it is hard to believe its name deriving from Malay means ‘muddy river confluence’ considering it has grown from a tin mining village to one of the most dynamic cities in Southeast Asia.
Few cities around the world offer up a melting pot of cuisines (including Malay, Chinese and Indian) while featuring some of the world’s cheapest 5-star accommodations. You’ll find plenty of green escapes in the form of parks and botanical gardens but you’ll also be dazzled by the impressive Petronas Towers which are shine at night.
Whether you’re eating street food in Chinatown or Jalan Alor or shopping until you drop at KLCC there is something for everyone in Kuala Lumpur. Now let’s explore the city locals refer to as KL.

I had been visiting on 2009 but now I will go and meet my old friend
The beauty and cosmopolitanism of this city stands in stark contrast to the two filmmakers!
I hated this video
Did you guys come across any scammers at any point? Being international tourists in KL. I am thinking of taking a short break later in the year and would be traveling there from Australia. I am a 40yo male so can look after myself but just curious to know how may scams are operating there and do they target you if they see you are a tourist?
There is a driver. His name is Robert. Dark complexion and short guy with a gold ear piercing. Half Christian and half Hindu . Stays with kids and wife.
If anyone is with him be aware.
He is a thief. He steals money from a customer…
He also mindwashes the customer into believing him and makes them sick.
A very fun vlog!
Wait! That's the Apparently Kid
One of my dreams. I will go to this video.
I've been to all the places in your video. The only things wasn't added was the Thean Hou Chinese Temple (great place to go for sunset) and Jamek Mosque. Putrajaya is outside KL and worth seeing for 2 hours as it was along the way to the airport. I agree about Batu Caves regarding getting there in the morning and you have to climb 300 steps to get to the top where the caves are. The Bird Park and Botanical Gardens is nice for a walk around and yes those peacocks were great. Petronas Towers was good and KLCC Park at night with the fountain displays are amazing. Merdeka Square is mainly historical with the tallest flagpole there. Chinatown is bustling at night and Central Market is close by and should be done during the day. Did like Little India and food was good. KL Tower had great views at the top. The National Mosque is nice and yes you are right that non-muslims can only go into the mosque outside prayer times – best time probably be in the morning before midday or 2.30pm-3.30pm I guess (I'm a British Muslim). Jalan Alor in Bukit Bitang is bustling at night – we went through this at night but didn't bother to eat there as most of the food were mainly Chinese and I'm not really a fan of Chinese food as such. Honestly I preferred KL over Singapore even though Singapore is incredibly modern and beautiful. Anyway this was a very informative video – well done!!
This is great thank you for videoing this can't wait to see see these places 🍜🍛🇲🇾❤
