Huawei has officially announced the nova 13 series, its new mid-range lineup that succeeds the nova 12 series. It comes in two models, namely a vanilla version as well as a Pro version that offers more in the camera department.

First up is the base model nova 13, which sports a 6.7-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones run on a Kirin 8000 chipset, ship with HarmonyOS 4.2, and are equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner. For connectivity, the entire lineup supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6.

On the other hand, the nova 13 Pro features a 6.76-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate that can range between 1Hz and 120Hz. Similar to the non-Pro model, it is backed by a 5,000mAh cell that supports 100W charging. As for dust and water resistance, only the Pro gets an IP65 rating.

The photography setup establishes a big gap between the Pro and non-Pro, with the former featuring a 50MP main camera with a variable aperture as well as OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. As for the front snapper, it gets two sensors consisting of an 8MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom alongside a 60MP sensor with autofocus.
