Kuala Lumpur’s Genting Club planned to create an Asian culture-inspired exclusive VIP lounge within its premise. A space for entertainment and culture with a worldwide vision—“Genting Rouge” was thus conceived. Malaysia has over 100 years of rich colonial history. The Western influence is prevalent. By exploring 5000 years of Chinese arts and culture with a global vision, a new synthesis was created: Oriental Passion, Western Harmony.
We commissioned 20 world-renowned upcoming young artists to create artwork for specific areas in the lounge. The collection is a myriad of Asian themes and mythologies, touched by Western aesthetics. Art Deco is used as the design motif connecting the pieces. An eclectic style mixed with traditional themes and modern imagery, creating a powerful visual impact through colours and textures. Every inch of the space mesmerizes guests with something sensational and surprising.
This project sets a new chapter in the landscape of the entertainment industry in the region and even on the wider global basis.
