G.Skill Announces 128GB DDR5-8000 Memory Kit

G.Skill, the Taiwan-based memory maker, officially announced its new DDR5-8000 memory with a 128GB capacity. The kit comprises two 64GB memory sticks that run in dual-channel mode and can run at speeds of up to 8,000MT/s and with CL timings of 48-64-64.

“Engineered for high-capacity overclockedperformance, the DDR5-8000 128GB (64GBx2) combines ultra-high memory speed with massive memory kit capacity, surpassing the previous module capacity maximum at 48GB per module. At last, power users and content creators who seek overclock performancememory for capacity-hungry applications will have the ideal DDR5 memory solution.

We are very excited to announce the world’s first overclocked DDR5-8000 memory with a total kit capacity of 128GB,” Frank Hung, Product Marketing, said. “This is yet another milestone for DDR5 overclock performance that G.SKILL has successfully reached, surpassing all previous limits to demonstrate never before seen memory specifications.”

The memory validation was done using an ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X870E APEX motherboard with the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X desktop processor. In addition, G.Skill also announced its DDR5-9000 high speed memory kits with the same capacity, with validation finalised via an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 APEX motherboard with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K desktop processor.

At the time of writing, G.Skill did not provide local pricing or availability for the DDR5-8000 memory kit.
