Exploring Night Market Bazaar in Johor Bahru City – LIVELY than KL? | Traveling Malaysia Vlog

0

Hi Unique Family,

In this travel vlog, I am exploring the night market bazaar in Johor Bahru city, and finding out if it is lively than night markets in KL. I also find out if Johor Bahru at night is more
lively than Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. In
Malaysia, there are lot of night markets, and it is a common
tradition among Malaysians to go shopping for food, clothes,
and other items during the night time at different night
markets. Most of the night market, commonly referred to as
Pasar Malam by locals, operate on specific days of the week.
However, in some big cities, there are mega night markets
which operate more like street food markets and they operate
daily, just like the one Bolu has explored in Johor. The name
of the night market explored today is Bazaar Karat, meaning
Rusty Market, which opens at 7.30 pm and closes around 2 am on a
normal day. However, due to the current Covid 19 situation,
and the RMCO (Recovery Movement Control Order) in Malaysia, it closes a bit earlier, around
12 am. Johor Bahru is the capital of Johor, a southern state in
Malaysia. My few days in Johor has made me understand more and
cherish the beautiful country Malaysia. Exploring Malaysia is
something that amazes me, as there are a lot of experiences to
gain. While exploring Johor Bahru, I can see that it is a
unique and very beautiful city in Malaysia.

From the exploring in this vlog, I have had a taste of how
night life is in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Prior to my visit to
Johor, I have experienced night life in Kuala Lumpur, and I
usually feel it’s very active, especially areas such as Bukit
Bintang, the Jalan Alor street. However, coming to Johor
Bahru, I am confused as to which of the cities is more lively
at night. Here, at midnight, you can see people shopping and
very lively, some just arriving to eat at restaurants, and
it’s quite an amazing experience. Bolu feels that night life
in Malaysia generally is always an active one, however that of
Johor Bahru is exceptional. Perhaps, could it be due to the
proximity of Johor to Singapore? These are questions, I look
forward to finding the answers. Workers from Malaysia usually
travel to and fro Singapore, via Johor Bahru on a daily basis,
so I think that alone could make the city a busy one.

Anyways, I had fun filming this episode of the travel Malaysia
series, around Johor, specifically Johor Bahru city. I hope
you watch till the end of this vlog and enjoy for yourself. If
you’re a foreigner or a tourist, or even a local, I think I
will recommend you to visit this beautiful state in Malaysia,
Johor.

In the coming days, I’ll be bringing you more and more
beautiful explore from this beautiful state in Malaysia
(Johor), I am currently in the capital and will try to check
more of the cities around the state. Watch out for more!

I am Bolu, and I make travel videos around Malaysia. Though, I
am an international postgraduate student here in Malaysia,
however, I fell in love with the country and decided to
explore and show beautiful Malaysia to the world. Join me in
my travel explore around Malaysia.I am pretty sure you will enjoy this exclusive presentation.
