Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) has confirmed via media statement that there is a delay in the schedule of the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit trains, caused by a series of cable theft vandalism on 8 and 9 April. A disruption to the signalling system that occurred at the Bandar Tasik Selatan station also led to these delays. The company has since released another statement announcing that services have resumed normal operations.
ERL stated that a total of four cable theft incidents occurred, with the first incident occurring on 8 April at KM48.5 between the Salak Tinggi Station and the KLIA Terminal 1 at around 6:20AM. Combined services for both KLIA Ekspres and the KLIA Transit were activated at 6:58AM from KLIA T2, and 7AM from KL Sentral. Train shuttle services were provided at 7:40AM from the Salak Tinggi Station to KL Sentral, with normal train services resuming at 10am from KL Sentral, and 9:48AM from KLIA T2.

The second cable cut is stated by ERL to have occurred at KM43.1 at 5:52PM, between Putrajaya & Cyberjaya, and the Salak Tinggi Station, which resulted in a delay for all trains between 7 to 10 minutes in arrival time. A separate incident involving disruption to the signalling system at the Bandar Tasik Selatan station resulted in all services being suspended at 9:57AM. Train shuttle services between Putrajaya & Cyberjaya Station to KLIA T2 started at 10:20PM with a frequency of 20 minutes. Passengers heading to KL Sentral from Putrajaya & Cyberjaya were advised by ERL to seek an alternative mode of transportation.
ERL then explains that the third cable cut occurred on 9 April at KM47.2 at 4:47AM, between the Salak Tinggi Station to the KLIA T1. The fourth cable cut happened just a while later, at KM40.6 at around 5:20AM, between the Salak Tinggi Station to Putrajaya & Cyberjaya. Shuttle train services commenced at 6AM between the Salak Tinggi Station to KLIA T1/T2, and Putrajaya & Cyberjaya to KL Sentral, with a frequency of 20 minutes.
