PETALING JAYA: Perak police have arrested five teenagers, aged between 16 and 17, after a Form 1 student was beaten and injured.
Perak police chief Azizi Mat Aris said the victim told police he was assaulted by Form 4 and 5 students at a secondary school in Ipoh on July 24, Bernama reported.
The victim received outpatient treatment for his injuries at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh.
Azizi said police will determine the cause of the incident and identify the other suspects involved.
According to Azizi, the investigation is ongoing, with statements from witnesses being recorded. The case is being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.
