Contemporary Container Home in Malaysia by Anand Bungalows. In this video, we bring you a smart green Home built using 6 shipping containers in Pahang-Malaysia. The house is built with six shipping containers stacked in two volumes to create 2,551 square feet of habitable space. Four 40 foot containers are stacked to create a double story volume with windows and doors oriented in the north/south direction. The two 40 foot containers on the first-floor level, accommodate the dining space, an open plan kitchen with a peninsula a bathroom and a guest bedroom. Two containers on the second level accommodate two more bedrooms and a bathroom. The original container cargo doors are welded in an open position to form partial enclosures and shade for the windows and balconies. Two 20 foot containers form the second volume in an east/west orientation accommodating the master bedroom. The original container cargo doors are also welded in an open position to form partial enclosures and shade for the windows and balconies. The two blocks are set apart enclosing a double volume atrium to serve as the living room.
