Bukit Mertajam is growing on me. The hotel was a mistake but my morning walk through this little interesting town on the mainland of Penang here in Malaysia is definitely nice and full of surprises. I can tell that there are no tourists here, even under normal circumstances. Now, with the Covid-19 pandemic, we are definitely the only tourists, at least the only Matt Salles. Join me for a walk through downtown and the very lively market in the morning. Ah yes, and let’s have some breakfast.
