Last month saw the launch of a couple of Acer phones in India, under the AcerPure brand. Recently, a couple more were unveiled in the same market, this time under the main brand. They are the Acer Super ZX and Super ZX Pro.
Although, it’s worth mentioning before we go further that the Taiwanese company had little involvement in actually making the phones. This is because they were made under license, by a company known as Indikal Technologies. It’s much like the deal between HMD Global and Nokia, at least up until last month.
For what it’s worth, the Acer Super ZX has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ LCD screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a range of 4GB to 8GB of RAM as well as from 64GB to 256GB. Powering the phone is a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging. For cameras, it has a 64MP main + 2MP depth sensor + 2MP macro combo at the back, plus a 13MP secondary shooter in front.
As for the Acer Super ZX Pro. this has a 6.67-inch AMOLED FUll HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, a choice of between 6GB, 8GB and 12GB of RAM, and a range from 128GB to 512GB of storage. The battery here is likely the same as the base model, being a 5,000 mAh pack with 33W charging. Cameras include a main 64MP +5MP wide angle + 2MP depth sensor combo at the back, and a 13MP camera in front.
GSMArena reports that the Acer Super ZX costs INR 9,999 (~RM515) while the Pro starts from INR 17,999 (~!RM927). They will be available in the Indian market on 25 April.
