MP wants MOE to find ‘out-of-the-box’ solution on teacher shortage

Former deputy education minister Teo Nie Chieng is urging the Education Ministry and the Education Services Commission (ESC) to think outside of the box and work together to address the issue of teacher shortage.

This comes after the one-off teacher recruitment initiative had a glitch in its system which resulted in the applications of hundreds of qualified candidates being rejected.
