In the Established Artist category, Chong Kim Chiew takes the spotlight as this year’s UOB Painting of the Year (Malaysia) with his winning piece titled ‘Malaya and British Borneo One Dollar 1953 (We look at the past, we look at the present)’ . Meanwhile, in the Emerging Artist category, Mairul Nisa Binti Malek bags the Most Promising Artist of the Year award with her artwork titled ‘Malek and Mariana’.
